Human resources are the driving force behind the creation of intellectual property and are the key to future growth.

As a leading intellectual property education institution, the Korea Invention Promotion Association has been producing creative convergence talents who will lead in Korea and beyond.

We are committed to making this world a happier place through invention by making the following efforts: providing specialized lifecycle-based intellectual property education; supporting youth inventors; and training next-generation entrepreneurial talents and intellectual property professionals.

    Operation of Invention Education Centers Nationwide
    At more than 200 invention education centers in elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, we provide various educational programs to those interested in invention and offer balanced education throughout the country.
    Training Creative Invention Talents
    We train young people with creative invention skills through youth intellectual property development programs and inventor programs.
    • Operation of High Schools Specialized in Invention and Patent Education
    • IP Meister Program

      This program cultivates future technical experts by providing students at IP Meister and specialized high schools with invention skills required in various industries through intellectual property development education and by harnessing creativity.

    • Young Inventors Program (YIP)

      This program trains future intellectual property professionals and inventors through advanced invention and patent education and consultations for young learners with outstanding invention skills or those interested in invention, including: domestic or international invention contest winners; patent or registered invention item holders; those who have completed intermediate/advanced courses at invention education centers; and those who have completed an education program at the Center for Creative Entrepreneurs.

    We are offering continuous, systematic training programs for students with the potential to grow into creative entrepreneurs who can harness the power of intellectual property, such as Bill Gates (Microsoft) or Sergey Brin and Larry Page (Google).

    YOUTH INVENTION CONTEST

    Korea's Largest Youth Invention Festival
    The Youth Invention Festival promotes invention awareness among young students and is the largest of its kind in Korea. The festival expands invention education across the board by simultaneously hosting the Korea Student Invention Exhibition, the Korean Student Creativity Championship, and the Youth Inventor Program.
    • Korea Student Invention Exhibition

      This contest aims to cultivate the creativity of students, raise their awareness of invention, and help them develop into future inventors by letting them exhibit their outstanding inventions and awarding them prizes, including the Presidential Award, along with special benefits to outstanding students.

    • Korean Student Creativity Championship

      This contest aims to unearth potential inventors with outstanding creativity and ideas, and help young people develop their creative and tenacious spirit as they solve tasks in a team.

    TRAINING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PERSONNEL

    Professional Training Program
    Through various educational programs, the Korea Invention Promotion Association takes a leading role in the intellectual property field by training intellectual property talents and supplying outstanding personnel to universities and companies.
    • IPAT (Intellectual Property Ability Test)

      The nation’s only intellectual property competency test is conducted by the Korea Invention Promotion Association. It is open to anyone who is interested in intellectual property and assesses basic, practical skills in all areas of intellectual property.

    • Intellectual Property Education at Leading Universities

      We train intellectual property professionals through independent intellectual property education programs in universities.

    • Intellectual Property Courses in Universities and Graduate Schools

      We offer professional instructors as well as standardized textbooks and curricula to expand university-level intellectual property education.

    Offline Intellectual Property Education (IP Campus)
    We provide practical training for patent officers, technology developers, and researchers of domestic companies and research institutes, as well as for non-professionals in all areas such as patent, trademark, design, and copyright and operate the classes of invention and science for young students.
