    Founded as the Korea Patent Association

The Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) has boosted the value and competitiveness of Korea’s intellectual property for the last 40 years as the nation’s first and leading institution of its kind. It was established as a public institution in 1973 in accordance with Article 52 of the Invention Promotion Act.
