This invention is a creative device without standby power consumption. The creation is used to replace the infrared remote control circuits of TVs and air conditioners to reach the goal of zero standby power consumption. The infrared remote control circuits of TVs and air conditioners consume about 2 to 5W of power during shutdown. The creation uses a solar cell and a thyristor control circuit to reduce the standby power consumption of TVs and air conditioners to zero. The creation is able to save large electric power when it is applied widely in home appliances.
