The invention quickly, easily and safely allows berthing a vessel by using only one hand.
We place the device on a telescopic pole on the ring of a berthing buoy, pull the pole towards us so the ring enters the carved part of the gear segment (19), we move switch 1 (12) to the left, thus releasing the gear rack (7) from the casing (1), and pull the pole and the gear rack (7) towards us. Moving the gear rack (7) to the left rotates the gears (9) to the left, which simultaneously rotate the gear segment (10) to the right.
As we first passed a rope through the bores (34), the gear segment (19) pulls the rope holder (15) with it by turning to the right. It is passed through the ring on the buoy together with the rope. Once the gear segment fragment (10) is on the right-hand side, the device may be pulled aboard and the rope is removed from the rope holder (15) and tied aboard.
