12S-10P Field excitation flux switching machine (FEFSM) with non-rare-earth magnet for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) drive applications is designed. The stator of proposed machine consists of iron core made of electromagnetic steels, armature coils and field excitation coils (FECs) as the only field mmf source.
