Subject of the invention is the technology and autonomous multimodule self-propelled machine with exchangeable work tools for protection of wetlands. The machine can operate on wetlands and inland waterways. It features innovative drive system and modular caterpillars, innovative adapted for movement of biomass bales, and innovative working manipulator unit. Exchangeable tools and accessories, so-called "modules", allow mowing, shredding, transport of biomass and clearing of shrubs. Implementation of the technology and the multi-module machine shall help protecting wetlands against succession of vegetation causing degradation of natural environment, including within natural parks and Natura 2000 zones.
