Home > Services > Invention Promotion > Invention Awareness in Korea   Bolsters people´s awareness of inventions, creates a cultural atmosphere for invention, positively promotes the creation of superior inventions, and ultimately contributes to the development of national industries by helping in technological development.   Invention Day Ceremony   On May 19th every year, distinguished inventors and contributors are awarded the Gold Tower Industrial Medal (the most distinguished award in the economics field), the Presidential Award and prizes from the chairman of KIPA and other organizations as a tribute to their achievements and contributions.     Korea Patent Technology Exhibition   This exhibition promotes superb inventions and their commercialization plus various awards, such as the Presidential Award, the Prime Minister Award, and the WIPO Award, are given at this event.     National Public Contest for Inventions   This contest bolsters people´s interest in inventions, helps cultivate a culture conducive to inventions, and encourages inventors with fresh, innovative ideas to never cease creating new things.
