Home > KIPA BIZ > Support for the Commercialization of Patent Technology > Patent Map   Provides a book on patent information (based on information on patents in statements) that helps in the easy understanding of technical information such as patent-related classification, analyses, processes, illustrations (information on rights) and other technical matters.   Patent Map   Receives applications from individuals and small and medium firms who hold rights on confirmed registered patents and utilities, as well as holders of exclusive rights, public research institutes and technology trading institutes as stipulated in the technology transfer promotion law. Also provides financial support for up to four cases a year with expenses taken from within 80% of the evaluation fees collected (financial support is set within 30 M Won.)   Summary → A book on patent information that, based on information on patent map statements, classifies, analyzes, processes, arranges drawings (information on rights) and other technical matters, and helps easily identify related technical information.   Biz Intro → Sorts out common core technology assignments and provides patent map analysis results to local corporations. Also prevents the duplication of research among corporations to forestall internal and/or external patent-related disputes, and enhances the utilization of such information for corporations to conduct research and development and establish patent strategies.     Diagnostic of Industrial Property & IP Proction System   Diagnoses whether technologies under development violate previously developed patents, offers appropriate technology development measures, and provides free financial support of up to 15 M Won within 75% of the project’s costs.   Summary → Collects and analyzes old related technologies (local and foreign); analyzes core technology status, market and technology trends, and the status of local and foreign competitor firms. Also presents R & D directions, explores related technologies and establishes measures against patent disputes to protect local leading small and medium firms and venture companies.   Biz Intro → Arranges for local small and medium firms and venture companies to receive comprehensive diagnoses of related technologies by providing patent experts even before research and development begins. Also provides financial support of up to 75% of the project’s costs or within 15 M Won.
